(a recent email conversation that took place on my Blackberry:)

Me: "I like how - when I say "fuck" on the Blackberry it auto-corrects me to say "duck" and I don't realize it and look like a dork. You have no idea how many times I have told people to "go duck" themselves. Not very powerful."

Friend: "DUCK THAT! I HAVE ALREADY INCORPORATED that into my normal speech thanks to you and your blackberry. I love it. I told a kid Thurs that he was a ducking cunt----he looked confused. I laughed my ducking ass off for the next 10 min."

i learned the word TAINT from my Mom. We laughed so hard when she told me what it was. I dont know why i thought of that today. But it is weird, if you know us, that SHE (the semi-prude one) would be the one teaching ME (the vulgar one) such a thing instead of the other way around.

we are getting settled into our new/old home. moving is hard. exhausted. mentally drained.

Discovery

While J and I were jogging this weekend we found a CD case full fo CDs along Bayshore Drive. I couldnt help but stop and flip through the collection. There were many bands we are fans of, some stuff we kinda like and some stuff we are totally unfamiliar with. So we decided to hide the CD's in the bushes, continue our run, and pick them up on the way back. They were wet from the rain during the night so we knew they had been there a while. I am having such fun popping in CDs with missing labels and some with labels of bands i have never heard of. I am constantly on a quest to discover a band that blows me away, much like Pearl Jam. Don't get me wrong, i LOVE a LOT of bands and a LOT of different types of music. But i want to discover something new. Something different. Something FRESH.

Right now i am working on copy for our company website and listening to Eels - Beautiful Freak. It's kinda cool, kind of alternative/experimental rock. if that's a category. Kind of Beck-ish (who i love.

..did July go? Next thing you know summer will be over and i will be asking where it went too..

after cussing out the moving company yesterday i will try to remember this today...

found out this morning that maddux has a torn ACL....surgery required. he is like our child so of course, there is no hesitation on that but...when? moving mom this weekend and ourselves next weekend and then i have a real estate conference in orlando and man when is life going to slow down? that is part of why we are moving...to just slow down. take a step back and live a little. i cant wait for that peace of mind. one thing at a time....
